It is our vision to become a leading stockist in environmentally friendly products.
Many mainstream cleaning products contain Volatile Organic Compounds known as VOCs. VOCs include phosphorus, nitrogen, and ammonia, which can lead to algae bloom, poisoning any water it comes into contact with. Many of these VOCs are washed into lakes, rivers, and the ocean, impacting the water's oxygen and intoxicating wildlife.
Our team constantly evaluates environmentally friendly ranges to stock as more people and businesses lean towards eco-friendly cleaning alternatives. We take the time to understand the claims about these products, ensuring our customers receive the best available option that meets our strict criteria.
As a proud member of the RapidClean co-operative, we know that the green products we source through them meet our criteria. Green certifications and standards differ across several factors incorporating ethical, organic, fossil-free fuel, local production, energy efficiency, among others. We strive to support suppliers and products sourced under these Australian standards.
Alongside our product offering, WS continuously ensure that our recycling practices are followed. Our office has a dedicated bottle recycling station for all recyclable plastic bottles and LED lighting, which produces 70-80% less energy than traditional lighting. In our warehouse, we recycle our cardboard by repurposing our suppliers' boxes for our customers' orders. A recycling company also picks up any unusable cardboard we receive.
Additionally, our team frequently reviews our delivery routes to ensure that delivery deadlines are met within the shortest timeframes, allowing us to deliver customer orders on time while reducing carbon emissions.
With our growing green range and in-house green initiatives, we are continuously implementing practices that allow us to reduce our carbon footprint.
